Beauty Tips

KEEP YOUR HAIR SHINY & HEALTY

Shiny hair is healthy hair. There are so many ways to keep your hair healthy and shiny. Proper washing and hair product to use is important too.

Mayonnaise - You can apply mayonnaise on your hair and keep it for 20 minutes. Then rinse it off with your favourite hair conditioner to remove the smell. Just use tap water and not warm water. You can do this three times a week and see the result. If your hair is not that great with mayonnaise, you can try something else that I will suggest.

Lemon- Citrus fruits are good for the hair follicles. Aside from cleaning the scalp which is to remove the oil, it is really a great way to shine your hair. Lemon has vitamin C that can help nourish your hair. Just squeeze out one lemon juice and dip cotton ball into it and massage it gently into the scalp. Leave it for 20-30 minutes before rinsing it off with water. You can use your favourite shampoo and conditioner here. But as much as possible, a conditioner is better after a lemon juice applied to the hair.

Coconut oil- Coconut oil is great not only for making the hair shiny but it makes it also grow thicker and strong. Use coconut oil before taking a bath. Massage the scalp while applying the oil. Don’t over massage the scalp. You can rinse the hair with fresh cow’s milk for a good result. But if you don’t have cow’s milk, then just tap water will do. Do these three times a week.

COLOR TREATMENT

When taking shower, keep the water temperature warm or lukewarm -- a hot shower can expand the hair cuticle, allowing pigment molecules to escape -- and don't feel compelled to shampoo daily if you don't have to, since detergents can prematurely fade dye. Color-treated tresses should only be cleansed and conditioned with "color-safe" products, which are brewed to prevent leaching pigment from your pricey dye job

SKIN CARE

Good skin care — It including sun protection and gentle cleansing, can keep your skin healthy and glowing for years to come.

Protect yourself from the Sun:

One of the most important ways to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun. A lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots and other skin problems — as well as increase the risk of skin cancer.

If You are smoker, try to Quit:

Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which decreases blood flow. This depletes the skin of oxygen and nutrients that are important to skin health. Smoking also damages collagen and elastin — the fibers that give your skin its strength and elasticity. In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking — such as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke — can contribute to wrinkles.

EYEBROW THREADING

Threading is an ancient Indian art which uses a length of cotton thread to remove unwanted hair. The precision and definition that threading can achieve make it particularly suitable for shaping eyebrows.

100% cotton thread is twisted and then manipulated to remove the hairs from their follicles as it glides over the skin- a process which removes the hairs and leaves the skin intact. Because of the non traumatic affect of threading for the skin, the technique is widely considered the pre-eminent method for brow shaping and also for other areas of hair removal on the face.
